MindMax’s leadership team brings together a broad range of experience in marketing and technology across industries and deep expertise in the higher education field.
Lee has led MindMax since its founding in 2009, providing technology-enabled marketing solutions to accelerate enrollments for universities. Lee takes pride in building long-lasting relationships with MindMax’s university partners and building a culture focused on results aligned with clients’ specific needs. MindMax has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in Education for four years running. Lee has more than 25 years of experience in the education field, and prior to founding MindMax, he helped guide several Fortune 1000 companies in deploying learning technology strategies. He served as CEO at Acadient and chief learning officer at Element K, Pathlore, and Click2Learn. Early in his career, Lee worked in financial aid and admissions at the University of Rochester. He frequently presents at industry events and serves as an editorial board member and columnist for CLO magazine. Lee graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology. Besides his many hobbies and interests, Lee loves going to the Adirondacks to camp with his wife and three teenage kids. “The field of continuing education has grown rapidly over the last decade as adult learners have greater access to programs that can help them advance their careers and personal interests. The way students choose an educational program has also changed dramatically. Here at MindMax, our mission is to be responsive to the ongoing and evolving needs of higher education and to help connect and match university programs with today’s adult learners.”
Brian brings more than 20 years of experience in bridging technology and business to his role leading the technology team at MindMax. An expert in establishing strategic roadmaps to drive sales and marketing initiatives, he is responsible for planning the information technology future for our university partners. Brian oversees all aspects of systems integration, data-driven management, and reporting to accommodate growth objectives. Before joining MindMax, Brian served as vice president of marketing and strategic planning for School Specialty, Inc., the industry’s largest provider of educational products, services, and programs. Brian graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and finance.
Chris Aldrich is MindMax’s Marketing Director, where he oversees all of our client-facing marketing strategy. He has spent his entire career of more than 12 years within the higher education industry, holding various enrollment management positions within undergraduate and graduate education, student affairs, and athletics. When he isn’t in the office he can often be found at one of the local ice rinks playing hockey with his men’s club team.
Amber is the Senior Enrollment Advisor at MindMax. She has been with MindMax for 7 years. When she isn’t busy assisting students she can be found enjoying the beach, raising her 2 daughters and being a political news junkie.
Sarah is a Senior Marketing Specialist at MindMax and enjoys supporting and collaborating with the many marketing teams at MindMax’s partner schools. Sarah enjoys interior design and worked in the industry for a few years prior to her marketing career. In her free time, she likes to keep busy with home DIY projects.
Leslie is Mindmax’s Paid Media Specialist, overseeing Search, Display, and Paid Social lead generation for our clients. Leslie has spent more than a decade in digital marketing providing data-driven e-comm, lead gen, and B2B strategy to a variety of businesses, and has happily been digging into the intricacies of digital media strategy for the higher education vertical since joining Mindmax in 2019. When not at her desk, Leslie can be found on the golf course, in her garden, and working on behalf of her rural hospital as a member of its Board of Trustees.
Kevin Smith is MindMax’s Enrollment Services Manager. In this role, he develops and implements prospect and applicant communication and outreach strategies on behalf of our university partners. Kevin has 15 years of management experience in developing and optimizing Service, Support, and Inside Sales environments to deliver exceptional customer experiences and returns for both B2B and B2C businesses. Outside of the office Kevin can generally be found near or on the water either fishing or paddle boarding.
